Frequently asked questions

WHERE IS BEST TO USE COMPOSITE DECKING?

Composite deckING boards are ideal for any commercial or residential area, including gardens/terraces, patios, balconies and swimming pools.

IS COMPOSITE DECKING SLIPPERY WHEN IT’S WET?

Composite decking offers excellent anti-slip properties when compared to timber decking

When wet, composite decking boards can become slippy – but not as much as a traditional wooden deck as composite decking does not absorb the water as much. Composite decking boards are produced to resist weathering, thus providing a safer decking area during the wet.

HOW LONG DOES COMPOSITE DECKING LAST?

Composite decking combines plastic, timber and bonding agents to create one of the most durable products on the market. All of our deck boards come with a 25 year residential warranty, and a 10 year commercial warranty as standard.

HOW DO I MAINTAIN COMPOSITE DECKING?

Composite decking offers low maintenance and is easy to clean compared to wood decking.

We advise cleaning composite decking at least twice a year, or more often if required. For light cleans, use hot soapy water and a soft bristled brush to clean your deck before rinsing with a hose pipe. For deeper cleans, use a pressure washer with a maximum pressure of 1500 PSI. Keep the hose gun at least 12 inches away from the composite decking. Whether you use a hose or pressure washer, always follow the direction of the grain and rinse thoroughly.
